Book Review
This was my first read of a Spice Brief. Although Spice is more erotica than romance, this particular story was without doubt a short erotic romance, and I loved it.
The mystery surrounding Adrien and Amelia (Emmy) drew me into their story. Charlotte Featherstone did a great job working with such a short format. The story came in at only 53 pages, but it was the perfect size for a quick night-time read.
I'm a big fan of short historical fiction. I have boxes of Regency era anthologies and shorter books. Although I don't think it is ever mentioned when this particular story takes place, I enjoyed the bits of historical setting that were worked into the story.
All in all, Improper Pleasure was a great introduction to the Spice Briefs books for me. I've already made a list of the books I want to read next!

Book Description
He was the object of her secret yearning, the subject of her fevered erotic fantasies. He had seen her from his carriage, and her image had invaded his dreams and become his obsession. He wanted her as he'd never wanted anything before. And here, at Highgate, away from the confining restrictions of the real world, at last he received a taste of that sweet, luscious body—just enough to whet his appetite and ignite a consuming desire that would let nothing stand in the way of its fulfillment.
