For me, Texas Men was a foray into a subgenre of erotic romance and romantica that I don't usually enjoy, but I admit this time I thought it was quite a bit of fun reading!
This anthology is a collection of connected stories, each with its own flavor but written by the same author, Delilah Devlin. What I enjoyed about the book was how readable it was without delving so deeply into the BDSM lifestyle that the fun stories got lost. For some readers, that might be the appeal of these types of stories. I'm not on of those readers. I love tie me up stories, but BDSM is not my reading pleasure most of the time.
That said, this book was a good book!
I liked it in spite of the BDSM elements, and I think that means this author can meld the romance with the sex in a way that made the stories interesting and the reading enjoyable. :) The author gave me characters who were suited to the lifestyles they've chosen and I didn't have a problem with the choices they made.
The stories in the Texas Men anthology were light, fun, quick reading, perfect for a lazy afternoon.
