I brought the Harlequin Blaze books up to date today. I even added some through February 2011. :-) I have my friend Heather to thank, because she was kind enough to send me much of the information so I could update the database. Thanks Heather! I appreciate all your help!

Blaze series books updated on The Erotic Reader website

It's that time again. Although I still have many, many updates to do to bring my book lists up to date for 2010 (Berkley Sensation, Heat, Brava, Blacklace, Avon Red, Aphrodisia, etc..) I have brought the Harlequin Blaze books up to date with all the Blaze-y goodness from February and March.

I'm also trying to update some of my audio and ebooks links, so my formats available lists for each book will be accurate. If you notice in the Blaze lists, I've already done some of this and you'll see lots of new audio links for the 2010 books.

Hope you enjoy the site! — TER

eHarlequin is having a BOGO (buy-one-get-one-free) sale, but it's TODAY only

I just received an email from eHarlequin promoting their ONE DAY ONLY buy-one-get-one-free sale. There are several Blaze books featured, so if you've been wanting one but have been holding off, this might be the perfect opportunity for you. :) For every featured book you buy, get a 2nd title FREE* with coupon code TWOSALEONE. (*They have a few restrictions, but nothing out of the ordinary…)

However, it was kind of tricky to get it to work, so here's what you need to do. Pick one (or more) of the featured books you want, then go to the regular books, and choose one (or more) of them. Then, when you go to your shopping cart, type in the coupon code in the coupon code box and “apply discount.” At that point, it should show your regular book(s) as free. :)

If you want to check it out, the link is below.

Updates to the Blaze list for August 2009 Books

I’ve just updated the Blaze list for the August 2009 books. Many of them are already available for order on the eHarlequin.com website.

August’s books include:

Only the first two (#483 and #484) aren’t part of a Harlequin miniseries. August’s Harlequin Blaze books are part of these miniseries:

You can check out other series on the site on the series list. I also put up the titles and authors of the upcoming September – November Harlequin Blaze releases, but my information is incomplete at the moment. I’ll update when I get more details about the books!

The July Harlequin Blaze print books are still available, so get them new while you can. :)

Leslie Kelly posting at WWR

Heather at WeWriteRomance.com gave me the heads up that Leslie Kelly is writing on her blog today. Leslie Kelly is a popular Blaze author, who writes what she calls “funny, sexy contemporary romance.” She's also the author of the Blaze book that's being given away on the Harlequin Celebrates website as I mentioned in a previous post called Get your free ebooks from Harlequin Celebrates.

Added March '09 Blaze books

Saturday (or was it Friday?) I added the March 2009 Blaze books from Harlequin to the site.

I also recently added several books to the Berkley Sensation book list.

I've had several additions to the Recommended Reading list, and I've also updated my Current Reading list to pull together better info on what's on my to-be-read list and what is in the read-but-wating-to-be-reviewed queue. As you can see if you take a look at that page, I have several reviews to write and will hopefully be posting them soon!

Get your free ebooks from Harlequin Celebrate

Right now on harlequincelebrates.com you can download 16 free ebooks to read and share. Of the 16, there's one Harlequin Blaze from June 2008. It's Slow Hands by Leslie Kelly which is Blaze #402. I've already downloaded my copy. :-)

If you've never had the chance to try out ebooks, this is a great opportunity to get some free romance ebooks to enjoy. You won't know until you try if you'll like reading them!

I recently upgraded from my PDA to a SmartPhone and I found that I loved having ebooks on my phone. I'll admit I don't have a lot of trouble reading small print, but it lets me make the text bigger if I want. I just don't need to.

You might want to pass on the info and the link to your friends so they don't miss out either. :-)

New Blaze Books and More Updates!

I've put up quite a few of the new and upcoming Harlequin Blaze romances. You can check them them out and buy or preorder them if you want.

I've updated my Lora Leigh book list. With the change over from static pages to a database, I just didn't get all the books for some authors entered and I'm working on them a bit at a time. However, now I've got a great many Lora Leigh books listed with plans to add more of Lora Leigh's books.

There are many more authors I need to get up to date on the site and if you have a preference for who you want updated first just let me know.

I'm excited to be getting the erotic romance lists all updated. :-) Here's to many more happy book updates.

Blaze ebook bundles

Here's an interesting bit of information. If you enjoy reading the Harlequin Blaze books as ebooks, you can get them as a bundle by the month of publication. It's a great way to save a few dollars (and trees). :-)

Historical Blaze

In July, expect a little something different with Blaze. Hope Tarr's Bound to Please is a historical romance! Set in 1460, this one is a first for the Blaze line. If you want to get in a preorder for this special book, here's a direct link.

Bound To Please (Harlequin Blaze)

I'll be treating the historicals as a miniseries within the blaze line, so you'll be able to find all the historicals on one page. However, I won't be adding the July books until later (but definitely this week). Happy reading!

May Blaze books

The May books from Blaze have been added to the site.

Included are new additions to a lot of the recent Blaze miniseries.

If you're following any of these miniseries, don't miss the new additions.

Updates to the Blaze book list

I've done updates to the Harlequin Blaze 2006 book list for the new books for March and April. You can find the list here: Blaze 2006 books.

I've noticed several new installments in some of the Blaze miniseries, so if you're following any miniseries in particular, you'll want to check them out.

There are new books in these miniseries:

  • Miniseries: 24 Hours: Island Fling
  • Miniseries: The Wrong Bed
  • Miniseries: It's All About Attitude
  • Miniseries: The White Star
  • Miniseries: After Hours

Harlequin Blaze: Are they getting shorter?

As mentioned in this blog post, Harlequin is changing the word count lengths for some of their lines, including Harlequin Blaze. Blaze used to ask that manuscripts be 70,000 to 75,000 words long (and the Blaze guidelines on the eHarlequin website still show this number).

Does this mean our Blaze books are going to get shorter?

I find it interesting to see that Blaze may soon be near the same length as the former Temptation line.

I've always thought Blaze killed Tempation. Is Harlequin now trying to pull in some of the readers who preferred the shorter Temptations over the Blaze books?

It's funny to note that the readers' complaints about the too small print have translated not into bigger print and more pages, but to less story. Ah, how lovely it is to see someone address our complaints….
